About
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my work. I’m HD (Heather Delaney).
I live nomadically, full-time traveling in an RV across North America with my husband, David, and dog, Kipling. I’ve also lived in and traveled through 35+ countries and petted many animals along the way.
As an artist in both photography and fiber, I strive to create more and consume less as a way to resist our attention economy.
Walking- along countryside paths, through cities, on the beach, or up mountains - is one of my favorite things to do. I also like learning folklore, history, and making up dumb songs about the dog.
These are some books I enjoy:
Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu (Stephen Mitchell translation)
Why Buddhism is True by Robert Wright
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Zimmerer
Marco Polo Didn’t Go There by Rolf Potts
Wanderlust: A History of Walking by Rebecca Solnit
Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake
The Weird: A Compendium of Strange and Dark Stories edited by Jeff and Ann VanderMeer
